Scan for singles

Look for rows, columns, or boxes where only one digit is missing. These "naked singles" are always the first cells to fill.

Work the boxes

Each box must also contain every digit exactly once. Cross-referencing a box against its row and column constraints often pins a digit immediately.

Note candidates

When no singles remain, pencil in candidate digits for each empty cell. Eliminate candidates using row/column/box constraints until one is forced.

About Mini Sudoku

How is Mini Sudoku different from regular Sudoku?

LinkedIn's Mini Sudoku is a 6Γ—6 grid divided into six 2Γ—3 boxes. Each row, column, and box must contain the digits 1–6 exactly once. With fewer cells than a full 9Γ—9 puzzle, it's faster to solve but still requires the same logical deduction.

Is there always a unique solution?

Yes. Like all well-formed Sudoku puzzles, LinkedIn's Mini Sudoku is designed to have exactly one valid solution. You should never need to guess β€” if you're stuck, re-check your row, column, and box constraints for a contradiction.

How many given cells does the puzzle start with?

The number of given (pre-filled) cells varies by day and determines the puzzle's difficulty. Fewer givens mean more deduction required. The dark cells on this page show which digits were given in today's puzzle.
