CrossClimb is a word-ladder puzzle. You're given a starting word at the top and a target word at the bottom. Every rung in between must differ from its neighbours by exactly one letter. LinkedIn gives you a trivia clue for each hidden rung to guide you.
The ladder typically has five rungs including the two given words, meaning there are usually three hidden words to find. All words are five letters long. The changed position shifts each step, making it harder than a simple substitution cipher.
Use the trivia clue to narrow the word down, then check which single-letter substitutions produce valid five-letter words. If the clue doesn't help, count which letter positions change across the rungs you already know — the unknown rung's changed position is usually inferable.
